Faced with the rapid arrival of the digital era and the fierce competition from New Energy Automobile Enterprises, BYD Group has been actively focusing on the digital transformation on the basis of the continuous deep cultivation of automobile manufacturing industry for nearly 30 years, grasping the new opportunities of industry digitization and digital industrialization, the whole chain digitization layout from upstream intelligent supply chain to downstream digitized after-sales service is realized. Taking into account both internal and external transition costs and benefits, BYD flexibly uses both vertical integration and collaboration models to explore a path for the new energy vehicle enterprise's digital transition. It is worth pondering, however, whether BYD`s model of digital transformation is propagable? Does the model conform to the future development trend of new energy vehicle industry chain?
