The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) , signed in 2020, covers the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the five major economies of China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, it has now entered into force in 15 member states. The agreement covers market access commitments in goods, services and investment. It is a modern, comprehensive, high-quality and mutually beneficial large-scale regional free trade agreement. The effective implementation of the RCEP not only promotes intraregional trade, investment and supply chain integration, but also provides broad scope for greater Chinese participation in global governance and regional free trade. The RCEP network thematic library is designed to provide data support for the study of the economic impact of the agreement, the evolution of Regional Economic Cooperation and economic linkages among member countries. Through the database, users can understand the regional economic network under the framework of RCEP and its impact on global economic governance.

Focusing on the RCEP region, the laboratory has established a data index system including six Key Dimensions: regional trade network, investment network, production network, innovation network, FTA network and supply chain network, provide multi-dimensional analysis tools for users. The database allows researchers to analyze trade flows, investment networks and production layouts among RCEP member countries and provide insight into changing trends in regional supply chains and global value chains, identify the role and potential of member states in innovation cooperation.
