Abstract: Although the report released by the panel for DSB of the WTO on July 18, 2008 is not conducive to China, and China lost the trade dispute at the WTO firstly, winning the dispute is not the only aim of our trade policy and measures. In our opinion, striving for economic benefits from trade disputes is the most important, and we should continue to make use of the WTO Dispute Settlement Mechanism in order to support China’s motor vehicle and automobile parts industry. We should also take more strategic trade measures to protect domestic industries.
