Strengthening and expanding traditional manufacturing is crucial for constructing a more resilient industrial supply chain system, solidifying the safety baseline of national economic development, and nurturing new qualitative productive forces and competitive advantages. In light of ongoing internal structural changes and external environmental adjustments, China’s traditional manufacturing sector faces certain practical dilemmas. To address these challenges, China can draw on the international experiences of developed countries in manufacturing development, empower traditional manufacturing transformation with new qualitative productive forces, accelerate R&D innovation in key areas to overcome technological constraints, promote chain coordination to consolidate the collective development of the industrial chain, and proactively respond to the transfer of traditional manufacturing to ensure the security of the industrial chain.
